Finally Friday

We have had a busy week. We spent Tuesday at the Mall of America for "Tobbler Tuesday" as Drew calls it. Even though we were there over nap time, the kids (Drew, Joey Anna and Dylan)were great! Tuesday night Grandma Luna babysat so Mommy and Daddy could go to the Twins game.

Wednesday we went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. Enough said!

Thursday Drew had a dentist appointment. On our way there he told me there were no sugar bugs or pigs in his mouth. He knew this because he didn't hear any. Well, he was right. When they looked in his mouth there were no sugar bugs, pigs or cows! Drew and Mommy went to McDonald's playland for lunch. After nap time Zackory came over to play. D and Z had an awesome time at the park and in the bath tub.

Today we had school. Drew's teacher said he was very helpful with clean up and is very talkative. Today he was out on the playground when we reunited and he wasn't real excited to see Mommy. They have too many cool construction trucks to dig in the rocks with. I think he knew seeing mommy meant it's time to go home. Daddy is going to take a Friday off in a couple of weeks to go to school too.

Drew is patiently awaiting Daddy's arrival home from work. He knows it is Friday which means Daddy will probably be bring home an Icee!!

He did it!

Today Drew went pee pee in the big potty! He was wearing his undies all morning. We were going to put on a diaper to go to Toddler Tuesday at the Mall of America. He went to find a diaper because the one I picked out didn't have the correct picture on it. All of the sudden he ran into the bathroom and STOOD over his potty chair and went pee pee! Before we were done he went 4 times! He prefers to stand. Of course he didn't always hit the hole. But as Auntie Mandi pointed out, most boys have trouble with that their whole life! WE are waiting for Cousin Joey to get home from her second day of preschool and then we are heading to the mall. Keep working mule, we are going shopping!

Drew's a big boy?

This morning Drew went to get a diaper. He came back saying he couldn't find any so he wanted to wear "big boy panties" (Daddy has since corrected us that boys wear UNDERWEAR not panties). We were headed off to school so we put on a diaper. But this evening we tried out the big boy underwear. He sat on the potty...nothing. He went and played for awhile and announced he had to go potty after he had already gone in his underwear. We got new underwear and tried again. Less than an hour later he peed in those too. He wants to flush his pee pee, but doesn't understand that he has to do it in the potty instead of his pants for that to work. Oh well, I guess this is further than we have been so far.

Our second day of school went well. We separated today. I loved seeing his face light up when I went back into the room. Being with him everyday I don't get to see that reaction much. My heart swelled. It's so easy to fall in love with him!

and so it begins

Drew is sick today. We have been fighting a cold all week. He has his second day of school tomorrow so I am hoping he will be better. So far it isn't looking good. Joey seems to have caught the bug and Dylan may have caught more than one bug. Daddy has softball tonight. First time back to the scene of the crime. Time to wipe some noses!
