Wow.

Drew has been wearing underwear at all times for days. No accidents. (knocking on wood). He doesn't even have to get up in the night to go potty. It was like a switch flipped a few weeks ago and he was completely trained.
Our boy is getting too big!
When Mommy was getting Drew out of the bathtub last night he said to her, "gooday, mate!" With an accent! What a cut up. Turns out if you touch a picture of a certain shark in one of his tag reader books the shark says the same thing. The kid forgets nothing!
Daddy and Drew are heading to Wisconsin with Grandma Luna and Grandpa Ron, leaving Mommy home alone. Whatever will she do.....HA.

He Did It!!!

Drew has kept his diaper dry overnight for over two weeks. We decided to try just wearing underwear last night. Drew kept his underwear dry all night! We are officially out of diapers (knock on wood). Drew found the reward he wanted for getting out of diapers. It is the King and his hauler from the CARS movie. It is the same as the Chick Hicks and hauler that we didn't buy when Drew wanted to work for it and then looked all over town for! Mommy and Daddy were smarter this time. We bought it and told Drew he had to wear underwear to bed and keep them dry for three nights to get the toy. He was so excited. He put the toy on his dresser so he could see it. We decided if he stayed dry one night he could open the toy. But if he doesn't stay dry for the next two nights it has to be put away for awhile. He is so motivated by rewards that we do not expect a problem.
Now he just needs the McQueen and his hauler and he has them all. So any one who ever needs a gift idea (or actually sees it at the store) there you go. :-)

New Bike

Drew is the PROUD owner of a new bike. It is a Tonka bike that looks like a construction vehicle. Once he laid eyes on it, no other options existed. Thank you to Grandma Luna and Grandpa Ron for buying it for him. Dylan celebrated his 2nd birthday with a party at Auntie Daycare. Drew and Joey Anna made Dylan a cake. Each kid decorated their own cupcake. Where did the little baby go?

Cool Dude

Drew got a "new" scooter at a garage sale. He is really good at it. Since he was told that he needs to wear his helmet, he wears it all the time. Even if he isn't riding. Better safe than sorry. Drew was decked out to go to Home Depot. It was a "Cars" day, except that he had on Diego underwear and sunglasses.
We had a good weekend hanging out as a family. We also got a lot done around the house.

Mommy's home

Drew was very happy to see Mommy after her 5 day trip to Napa, California. Of course he was almost more excited to get his souvenirs! The house was still standing when Mommy returned, always a good sign. Mommy had a very nice vacation with time to "recharge". Everyone is happier.

Daddy must have forgotten it was Mother's Day. Drew and Daddy didn't do anything for Mommy. Guess that's what happens when she goes on vacation over Mother's day. However, Uncle Jon and Britt made it a nice Mother's Day for Mommy. She was treated to breakfast and bed and a beautiful necklace wrapped with a flower attached to the package. It was a wonderful day except that Mommy didn't get to see Drew.

Daddy did something pretty crazy last night. He got up around midnight and went and got a drink of water. When he went back to bed he went in Drew's room instead of his own. He opened the door, closed the door and got into bed. Mommy thought Daddy heard Drew and she didn't. After a little while Mommy fell back asleep. Around 2am Daddy went back to his own bed and asked Mommy how he got in Drew's bed. He felt Drew kicking him and wondered why Drew was in his (Daddy's) bed. Later Daddy realized he was in the wrong bed. He has no recollection of going into Drew's room and getting into bed. He also left his water bottle on Drew's dresser. It may be a sign of old age.

Jacob and Emily

The kids known to most people as Drew and Joey Anna, changed their names today. They decided to be Jacob and Emily. They even talk about Jacob and Emily in the third person. It is quite hilarious.

Tonight we went to the Spring Fling at Drew's school. It was a lot of fun with a lot of activities. We took the Lindstrom's too. One of the activities was a live band. They needed volunteers to shake the tambourine. Drew went to do it. When the band member asked him his name he said, "Jacob." Nut!

After the spring Fling we went to Daddy's first softball games of the regular season. The team is 2-0 after one night. We had to play at the park after. Drew did not want to leave! Mommy and Daddy had to threaten to leave him at the park until Thursday for him to leave.

Saturday Mommy leaves for Napa, California. Drew and Daddy will be on their own for 5 days. Well, not really on their own. The helpers are already lined up!

Walk for Animals

We did it! Today was the Walk for Animals. The weather was beautiful. We saw dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, birds, guinea pigs, a snake, a lizard, 2 ponies, 3 goats and a monkey. We made it to the half way point!
We are too cute!

Best Pals

We ended up raising $1000 which was $500 short of our goal. Oh well, we will try again next year! Surprisingly Drew didn't take a very long nap after the walk. He got lots of fresh air and exercise though.
Mommy, Daddy and Drew had dinner at Clover's (Culver's to people other than Drew). There was a little boy sitting in the booth next to ours. He asked Drew what his name was. Drew said, "Diego". Then changed it to "Crocodile". The other boy was 4 1/2. When he told Drew his name was Oliver, Drew had the cutest expression on his face. He was surprised the boys name was Oliver since that is the name of Auntie Jen's bird!

Little ham

Drew is quickly becoming the class clown. Today at school Drew was quite a little ham. The first 45 minutes of school we play and do art projects. Then comes "circle time". Today when teacher Janelle asked what sound a bee makes most of the kids made a buzzing sound. Not Drew! He said, "NO! A bee says, HONK." Of course this earned laughter from the other Parents. Then during a song when the kids were supposed to crouch down and be a "seed", Drew had hands and feet on the floor and butt up in the air. Again, laughter. When we went around the circle to sing, "Drew is here today" he stuck out his tongue and wiggled his fingers on his cheeks making funny faces instead of shaking the pom pom. He definitely is not shy. The last few months he has really become a show off at school. He also still has the same girlfriend. Ever since the beginning of school, he has said Brynn is his girlfriend. She is the only friend at school that he talks about constantly. Hopefully she will be in his preschool class next year. She is on the wait list.
Tomorrow is the Walk for Animals. Mommy and Mimi started doing this walk 8 years ago!
