Weekend

Drew had a great weekend! On Friday night he went to his favorite restaurant, Broadway pizza. All he eats is garlic cheese bread and the whole time he watches for the model train to roll by. Mommy wishes they would install model trains in more restaurants so Drew would pick somewhere else!!!

Saturday we went to Plymouth on Parade. Drew, Joey and Mimi walked in the parade with the Wayzata Family Learning Center(Drew and Joey's school). After the parade we "touched a truck", went on a ATV "train" ride, went in the bouncy house, petting zoo, etc. Drew had a major melt down when we got home because he didn't get a nap. Drew spent the night at Joey and Dylan's house.

Sunday Drew went to Sunday school and then out to Mimi and Papa's house. Another day with no nap. He was pretty good, but had some moments. Drew went to bed at 8pm on Sunday night and didn't get up until 9am Monday. That is very unusual for him!

Drew fed Gwen and Leo's cat Alex for the last 5 days while they were out of town. It was the highlight of his day and a great bribery tool for Mommy!

Drew has school at 8:45 today. Joey and Dylan are still sleeping. Drew went to bed at 8pm last night. Mandi called us at 8:30 and Joey and Dylan were still up. They normally get WAY more sleep than Drew. Oh well, it is TUESDAY! Ugh!

Mr Smarty Pants

Last night Mommy let Drew play outside for a few minutes when we got home from the mall. Mommy went out to help Drew put away his toys, but he was missing. Mommy started calling Drew and he said,"I'm in the backyard!" When asked how he got into the backyard, he replied that he used his golf club to unlatch the gate. Very smart, but not very safe!!! Little turkey!

Drew pouting. He wanted to go on the cars again, but you needed to be 4 and he told the girl he was 3 so she wouldn't let him on.

Driving the train

The ride Daddy said Drew was 4 so he could go on. The second time he tried he was denied!

We went to Como Zoo for the RMIA (fertility clinic) annual birthday open house. It was a beautiful day unlike last year when it rained the whole time. Drew had fun in como town, looking at the animals, having cookies with the RMIA staff and playing at the park. He fell asleep on the way home. Mommy decided to carry him into the house instead of letting him sleep in the car longer. BIG mistake! He was extremely crabby and threw a fit for quite awhile before he finally settled down( and woke up all the way).

Drew and Joey had their first day of preschool this week. They both love school. Drew goes Tuesdays and Thursdays. Joey goes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
We found out on Thursday that Drew won $200 in gift certificates from the St Bart's carnival we went to the Friday before. We don't know what they are for, we have to go pick them up this week. Lucky little devil.

Happy Birthday Erik!

Today is Uncle's Birthday. Happy Birthday Erik.
Mommy said to Drew today, "Drew, I love you!" Drew replied, "Well, that's not a surprise." Turkey.
When Drew, Mommy, Joey and Dylan went to Circle Park today, Brynn was there. We ran into her last Sunday at Red Lobster too. She is Drew's "girlfriend" from ECFE last year who is in his class this year too. It is really fun to see the changes in how they interact with each other in the last year. The first day of preschool is tomorrow!!

Our Family
Today we went to church which was followed with a picnic. They had food, a bouncy house, face painting and a cake walk. The first time we did the cake walk, Joey won. the second time, Drew won. Lucky kids!
After the picnic we went into Wayzata for James J Hill days. Drew collected balloons. We teased that his stroller was going to float away by itself! He also was going up to all the vendors saying, "May I have a (pen, bag, water bottle, etc)" Some commented on how polite he was. The highlight of his day was going to the Depot to see the model train. We ran into our neighbors Gwen and Leo at the Depot. Leo and Drew hatched a plan to build a garden train at Leo's house.
Yesterday Daddy and Drew spent the day in Little Falls at a truck pull. When they got home Drew was full of stories. The sled was green, they had lawn tractor pulls, which trucks were there, etc. Drew has really paid attention to details at the truck pulls this year.
Friday night Daddy went to a truck pull. Mommy and Drew went to a carnival at St Bart's with Auntie Jen, Auntie Mandi and Dylan.
Last Thursday Drew and Mommy met Daddy and his big orange truck for an early lunch and then headed to the Mall of America to use a mystery ride pass. The first two we used were 6 points each. The 3rd one was 100 points ! We called Mimi and told her to bring Joey to the mall and help us! We got to the mall at 11 am and got home at 6:30 pm. That is 2 weeks in a row we had a 100 point pass. We are not going to the mall this week!

Drew had his first preschool conference. We met his teachers and saw his classroom. One of his teachers is Mrs. S who was his ECFE teacher last year. Drew was very excited about this! School starts Tuesday, we are excited!

On Tuesday we went to the MN State Fair. Mimi went too. Drew was almost more excited to ride the bus than to do anything else. We got to the fair around 10:30am. We got home after 8pm. It was a long day. Drew was good at first, but there were not a lot of things he would eat. As the day went on he was really hungry, tired and cranky! He wanted to go on the sky ride and cried half way to the bus home when he was told no. He also wanted a new John Deere tractor toy and had a fit when he was told his birthday was coming up and he could put it on his list. We were hoping he would nap in his stroller, but there was too much to see so that never happened. We had a good time, but maybe next time Drew should stay home.
On Wednesday Drew and mommy went to the Mall of America. Drew was an ANGEL. What a difference food and sleep makes! We had a "mystery ticket" for rides at the mall. Once you scan the ticket to see what you won you have to use it all in one day. Well of course we had 5 tickets to pick from and the one we picked was 100 points! It was around a $80 value which is awesome, but it was just Drew and Mommy. The rides Drew can go on are 3 or 4 points each. We ended up giving our left over 47 points to some other people at the park. We did get a little shopping in and spent some time at Lego land which Drew loves. Drew fell asleep in the car on the ride home. Another long day, but NO melt downs.
Drew is healthy again! Very exciting news for us. Dylan and Joey still have shown no signs. Hopefully it passed them by. When Drew woke up this morning he was calling for Mommy. When he came out of his room he was doing a little fake cry. When asked what was wrong he said there was a ghost in his room. Mommy told him ghosts are pretend. He said it was real and it "booed" at him! This week he has also been telling stories about when he "goes to work". As in he hears certain songs on the radio and drives down certain roads he finds in the atlas. He says he works in Woodbury and Minnesota and sometimes Plymouth. He has quite the imagination. And he is ALWAYS talking to himself. He is a chip off the old (Daddy) block!
