Wedding Bells

Drew was asked to be a ring bearer in my Cousin Brent's wedding this November. Drew said, "I'll have to think about it." A little later I told him how much fun it would be and he said, "Mom, I didn't say 'yes' yet". He is such a character! He did finally say he would like to do it.
Drew is at school. He didn't want to go today. But I reminded him he has to check on the caterpillar they have in his room. He was also supposed to wear green in honor of Earth day. The goofball, whose favorite color is green, didn't want to wear anything green. He is excited to hear the tornado drill sirens that are supposed to sound twice today.
Drew has a new neighborhood friend who is 7. The boy would ride his bike by our house and Drew would hang out at the end of the driveway. The boy, Griffin, will now play in our yard with Drew. At first they would just sit at the end of our driveway and play. Drew thinks he needs to be outside at 3:45 PM everyday because that is when Griffin gets home from school. They just started playing together this past Sunday. Drew also asked him if he wanted to sleepover the very first day they played together. This is funny since Drew has a hard time staying overnight anywhere. Drew even wanted to go home and sleep in his own bed when we were on our cruise. I am having a bit of a hard time with this new friendship as it seems like my baby is growing too fast. He is ready to prowl the neighborhood!

April

Where did March go? I have gotten a little behind. Oh well, we move on.

Last Saturday Drew and I went to the Circus with Jenie and Zackory. For some reason our tickets didn't have seat numbers on them. The usher guy gave us seats in front with tables. Much better than we expected since we just went with cheap seats. However, shortly after we sat down, Drew and I got a sprite bath courtesy of the people behind us. No big deal it was mostly on our jackets. The Circus was fun and Drew won the $25 prize raffle! The money pretty much covered what we spent at the circus, but it went into Drew's savings account instead. That night Zackory spent the night at our house.

Last week I went to Drew's second preschool conference. It was fun to see the difference in his drawings from fall to spring. His teacher says Drew is, "witty, smart and fun to have around." They are impressed with his recognition of numbers, letters and all his classmates names. There are only 6 weeks left of school. I think Drew is going to miss it over the summer. Next year he will be going Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-11:30am.

Our Easter was busy, but very nice. We were able to see most of our relatives between Palm Sunday and Easter. Drew had MANY opportunities to find eggs. He walked away from the weekend with lots of "loot"!

We went to "Texas Roadhouse" with Grandpa Bob on his 70th Birthday. Grandpa got to sit on a "bull" while everyone gave him a "yeehaw". Drew wants to go there on his birthday so he can sit on the bull. Of course he asked our server why it was called "TEXAS Roadhouse" when we were still in Minnesota? He thinks of everything.

Drew went to the Dentist a few weeks ago. He did really well and his teeth looked great! So far looks like he got his teeth from Mommy!

Some funny things I wrote down to blog, but never did:
-Drew says his toots, "smell like sugar"

-Drew always says, "Mom, I'm going to tell you the truth. The truth is.... (usually, Joey did it!)"

-He said, "Mommy, why don't you worry about yourself and I'll worry about me." Guess he doesn't know what the job description for a Mommy is!

-One day he said, "Mommy it's going to be kinda hard to control 2 children". Since I control 3 most days it would be OK, but we are not getting another child.

I am going to work harder at updating more often as long as Drew provides some material!
