It has been a very busy week. On Tuesday Mommy and Drew went to Toddler Tuesday. Drew got a new green toothbrush. He didn't want the oatmeal they were offering for breakfast. We saw the "Backyardigans", but didn't stand in line for a picture. Instead we rode the rides! Drew had so much fun. He even rode the big rigs with another little girl because he only wants to drive the black truck and she was in there first! He wasn't a fan of the bumper cars. He was the only one on them, but he went in a few circles and rammed into the side a couple times and then wanted out. Probably a good thing he was the only one on the ride. He did get mad at Mommy because he saw lego land from above while we were having lunch, but we didn't go down to play because it was too late in the day.
Wednesday Papa came over to hang out.
Thursday we took a picnic to Edinborough park with Joey, Dylan and Auntie Mandi. Everyone had a lot of fun. Drew did have a little accident. He came down a slide and when he went over the second hump he flipped and hit his cheek on the slide. He cried and had a purple bump on his cheek. He recovered though. He did well in swimming lessons too.
Today we had school. After school we played outside. We just hung out at home all day.
Mommy and Daddy learned an important lesson this week too. Drew still has not pooped in the potty. Last Friday Drew found a toy he wanted for when he poops. On Sunday we were at a different Target and decided we were going to buy the toy so we had it for the big moment. They didn't have it. We have been to 5 different Targets since then and been on Target.com with no luck. The toy he wants is a Target exclusive and they don't know when or if they will be getting more! We did find one on ebay for twice the price. Next time we will be buying it the first time we see it and returning it if he doesn't earn it instead of waiting!!!!!
Funny story: Mommy and Drew were going into Target last night and Drew said he wanted to get a 6 pack of mini cars. Mommy explained to Drew that we don't get toys everytime we go to the store, only for our birthday, going in the big potty, Christmas, etc... Drew says, "or Valentine's Day?" The kid obviously keeps track of which holidays are aproaching!!!
