According to Drew
Drew made it through the week of Vacation Bible Camp. He seems to have had a good time. They walked through a tunnel to get in. It "changed" them into the bug of the day. That was his least favorite thing every day. One day he refused to go through it. Luckily he didn't have any bug nightmares. Mommy was surprised.
Daddy had his 38th birthday this week. He's old...enough said. Drew had fun going to Robert's (the restaurant at the Medina) to celebrate with Daddy's softball team. Drew rode in the car past Roberts a few times this weekend. Every time he says,"There's Roberts!" He enjoys their french fries and pull tabs.
One day Drew said in 89 weeks he will be 10! And then he is getting a real hummer and he is going to do wheelies! Joey said,"Um, I don't think so Drew. I'm bigger than you." Of course then they argue about it.
Mimi and Papa were riding in our car last weekend. We were talking about Charley being sick and maybe having to go to heaven. Mimi was getting a little emotional. Drew turns to her and says, "Times are tough Mimi."
This weekend we went to the Lake Place pool party, fed Charley, Abbie, Jack and Gus for the weekend, got Drew's hair cut, went to Target, went swimming, went to Chuck E. Cheese for Lexi's birthday party, visited Papa and Grandpa Ron for Father's day, had no naps and ate at Broadway pizza (always Drew's first choice).
Happy Birthday Charlie (21st) and Great Grandma Haekenkamp (22nd). Happy Anniversary Grandma Luna and Grandpa Ron, Kirk and Kari and Grandpa Ed and Jan.

Busy Weekend
Thursday afternoon Drew went to Mimi and Papa's house with Joey. They washed trucks and went to DQ for dinner. Mommy met them at Daddy's softball game. There was a big mud puddle that the kids would not stay out of. Drew was soaked from the waist down. Then we went to the park. So he was soaked and covered in sand. Man did he stink!
Friday Drew stayed overnight at Grandma and Grandpa Frericks house. Mommy and Daddy went to Winstock. Mommy and Daddy had a really good time.
Saturday everyone went to Buffalo to the Buffalo Days parade. Drew stood and clapped as a family riding John Deere tractors went by. It was his favorite part! At first when they were throwing candy Drew would only pick it up if it was something he liked. He eventually picked up whatever he could so he could "trade" for things he liked. The parade was 2 hours long. We went to the bowling alley for dinner. Drew was hilarious telling the waitress about the parade.
Sunday Mommy and Mimi went to the Science Museum to see the Titanic exhibit. The passenger Mommy had died, Mimi's survived. The exhibit was pretty neat.
Drew is taking a nap now. He has been up late for the past 3 nights. Poor guy is exhausted. Tomorrow is the first day of Vacation Bible School aka Bug Camp! Drew is excited! So is Mommy since she will have 3 hours to herself tomorrow and 3 hours with just Dylan each day of the rest of the week.

Weekly Update
On Friday night Drew and Mommy went out on Lake Minnetonka with the Lindstrom's. Drew was a little nervous. So was Mommy. Drew didn't want Uncle to drive fast, just medium. We still had fun. We also visited Grandma Luna and Grandpa Ron, who took pleasure in loading Mommy's car with some of Daddy's old toys out of their basement.
On Saturday Drew went with Mimi, Papa and Joey to a graduation party. Then he spent the night at Mimi and Papa's house. They tried unsuccessfully to trap a raccoon. Drew did really well staying over. It gets easier every time. Mommy did some shopping and then hung out at home...ALONE. Daddy spent the weekend with some work buddies.
Sunday Mommy and Drew went to an anniversary party with Mimi, Papa, Joey and Dylan. Mommy had a softball game Sunday evening. Her team lost. It was no fun playing softball in the cold and drizzle.
Mommy is discouraged that she had to turn the furnace back on in JUNE! We need the rain, but couldn't it warm up a touch?
Drew says he has a baby boy in his tummy named "big crane boy". That is disturbing in more ways than one.
Today Mommy and Drew went to the library and rode the Wayzata trolley around town. Joey and Dylan were at Mimi and Papa's. Now it is nap time!

So much fun
Drew in Mommy's boots
Wiped out from a long weekend.

Drew and Daddy went to Boscobel Wisconsin with Grandma and Grandpa for the weekend. Drew had all kinds of fun! He played on a combine, rode on a skid steer and a John Deere lawn tractor. Saw all kinds of animals. Sounds like he was pretty much spoiled for two days! He did really good in the car and wore underwear all weekend with no accidents.
Mommy stayed home by herself! Mommy is now requiring Daddy and Drew to make this trip twice a year minimum!!!
